Good Points

Rep was helpful. There was garden furniture and a bin nearby, there was a barbeque if a little small for seven as the caravan can sleep.
The restaurant off the site was just five minutes up the road and was a pleasant experience to eat at. The people who owned and ran it were very helpful and accomodated all. The menu was limited but for families who were there with young children it was enjoyable and worth a visit.
The site looked well cared for and all the lawns were cut and there was enough privacy in between each caravan.
A fan was available if needed in the summer.


Bad Points

Caravan cold, if we had taken children they would have had to sleep in the lounge area with their clothes on.
Kitchen equipment very limited.
Kettle not clean, maybe due to water?
General cleanliness of caraven was poor, mould growing around shower screen. Cups were dirty with tea stains in them. The bin under the sink smelt of cigarettes and had not been washed after the previous people.
Most of the amenities were closed e.g. the shop, so was unable to purchase a phone card as my mobile phone (orange) was unable to get a reception. Bike shop was closed. The restaurant.
Gas bottle ran out but was unable to find anyone to help at 8.00am in the morning.
Safety signs were not displayed in a visable area.
Information pack could have been more detailed for the facilities relevant to the low season.


General Comments

We arrived at 7.30pm, finding a rep was confusing but when we did he was helpful. The caravan only provided one blanket for each bed, it was first week in october so we had to buy a duvet. The caravan had not been cleaned previously as the work tops in the kitchen and the bathroom had a layer of dust. Kettle was unusable (probably due to the water) cooker was not clean. There was supposed to be glasses, none were available. Soft furnishings looked dirty, generally needed updating caravan looked 'tired'.
I feel if we had visited the park in the summer months it would have a different feel as the amenities would have been open.
It felt that you really needed a car to visit attractions at this time of year as most of the excursions had finished.
We did book this holiday through the Sun holidays so the venue and the dates were given to us however the bad points still remained the same.
