Good design, designer knew exactly what we wanted. The fitters of the glazing were very tidy and took their rubbish away with them.
Bad Points
Recommended builder turned out to be poor, the standard of work was poor too and the cost high, I have banned him from the site, my own builder will have to put right the insulation and the steel for the roof structure they could not get straight and it bows in the middle,putting pressure on the glazed units, I think that the steel is not adequate for the span of the structure? All the flanges on the glazing units missed the steel and the fitters had to wedge with wood and drill through the frames to anchor them to the roof.
General Comments
I have written to Apropos Tectonic Conservatories to complain about their reccomended builder, 'phoned on numerous occasions, and so far have not had the courtesy of a reply from my letter to their CEO! Both my husband and I have Parkinsons Disease and we wanted a really stylish garden room to complement the bungalow to which we were downsizing and on which we have spent a great deal of money and effort. We feel Apropos tectonic have let us down badly, all payment to them has to be 'in advance' they have charged what we think is a lot for a very poor quality of work, we are both extremely upset by how all this with apropos has gone: poor value for our money. I would never reccomend apropos to my worst enemy. I am also going to contact Trading Standards.
