In August 2008 my GF and I spent 2 weeks at Pefkos Garden and were not impressed. I would not recommend you stay at the Pefkos Garden, also previously known as the Lindos Pines resort. We wished we had stayed Pefki Islands resort, as we walked past it everyday to the beach.
Firstly the good points: Location: excellent (down the road from Finas, and around the corner from Pefkos Islands resort).
Price: Cheap, we booked through unpackaged.com and got a half board for 2 weeks for around £800, but I suppose you get what you pay for. Right thats it for the good points!
Bad points: Rooms were small, and poorly cleaned. We were there 2 weeks and we had fresh towels twice, and I don't think it was ever swept.
During our 2 weeks we only ever hear english spoken once by other guests. We were beginning to think we were the only english ever to have stayed there.
Tourist info at the reception was in 4 different languages. None of which were English or German (either would have been fine). I think Polish and Russian were definitely there though.
Food was awful, they boasted a salad selection. Salad was : tomatoes, olives, cabbage, lettuce and 2 or 3 sauces and this was the same every day. It was a buffet style with different meals each day - there were limited veggie selections, and breakfast included cheap juice, and the cheapest cornflakes edible (however the weren't), sausages (from the day before), and bread and jam. Food is served in an open air room, which gets a lot of hornets (the big ones). The waiters (if you can call them that) just laugh when they saw girls swatting and running away from them and they say "Is a garden eh!"
We were charged 16 Euros a days for Air con.
The Pool was Dirty. We never saw it being cleaned. Deck chairs surrounding the pool always had cushions on them and were torn and dirty.
