Good Points

Quick friendly service, decent enough food, nice environment. Price. Plenty of smiles. Additional sauces available.

Bad Points

Not quite as good as I'd hoped and the extra hot sauce needed to be hotter. Garlic bread.

General Comments

I tried Nando's for the first time last week in Birmingham. Good smiley welcome, nice environment, good choice, easy to follow menu, decent glass of wine and very quick service.

I had the extra hot chicken with garlic bread and coleslaw as I thought if the sauce ('only for the brave') really was that hot I'd need something to help cool me down.

The chicken was tender, moist and juicy but the sauce was not as hot as I was craving for. The coleslaw was fine but the garlic bread was disappointing. It appeared to be a bread roll, cut in half and toasted and spread with garlic butter. All expenses spared! I was expecting something a little more interesting and certainly more moist than a cheap white bread roll.

I was impressed that additional sauces were available in large quantities and I added more hot sauce but still felt it lacked a piri-piri type hit.

All together it was fine and I'd go again - and very affordable (under £10 with a glass of wine). My only real criticisms are of the garlic bread (shan't bother again) and that if a sauce promises to be frighteningly hot - it needs to be!

I have always loved Nandos. The sauce for me is well spicy and i love the sweet potato mash! Mmmmmmm Very cheap and friendly and great food.
