Good Points

Suction, tools, 6 different settings on rotary dial, not too heavy to carry, long hose, telescopic wand and power cable.


Bad Points

Its not cheap, and ongoing costs of bags and filters to bear in mind too, however worth it if it keeps working as well as it is now.


General Comments

The Miele Solution Hepa 5000 is the vacuuming equivalent of driving a porsche after trading up from a lada (aka hoover alyx) for me! Just bought it and have only used twice but was v. impressed. Suction is excellent, the carpet is visibly cleaner after just one pass with the brush head. The tools and brush heads are good and easy to take on and off, but securely fixed once clicked into place. The 6 settings are easy to understand from the pictograms on the dial. Also the hose and telescopic wand are really long so makes vacuuming the stairs really easy and also allows you to stand in a comfortable upright position while vacuuming, not like my old machine which required you to be bent double. So far, so good.
