Good Points

Quite good at making bread to a consistent standard. Quick and easy to use. Easy to understand instructions and re-learn how bread should actually taste.

Bad Points

Wholemeal bread difficult to get right - easier if you use a 50/50 mix of wholemeal and white.
The paddle seizing although it was 4-5 years old.

General Comments

I bought the Morphy Richards 48280 Fastbake Breadmaker for £20 four or five years ago. I used it quite heavily for several months at a time and it always produced good white and 50/50 wholemeal loaves. I also produced good 100% wholemeal bread too, but it took a little tweaking from their recipe.
I have also had owned a few cheap breadmakers and I don't think this is any better at producing loaves but has lasted longer than the cheap Cookworks model. I also had a Snieder (not sure if the spelling is correct) from Asda. Its mechanism is very similar to the Kenwoods models. I sold this when I sold a house, but for less than £20 it always gave good results and I used it daily.
If you want to make bread everyday I think you will be happy with the results. I am not sure how long it will last though. It has lasted much longer than any of the cheaper models. However I would seriously recommend you take out insurance on whatever breadmaker you choose if you want to use it daily.
