Bad Science is based on the popular blog and Guardian science column, Ben Goldacre explores the ways in which science is misinterpreted, distorted, and invented in order to tell us what's wrong with us and then sell us the solution. Nutritionism, homeopaths, big pharma, and the media itself - noone emerges unscathed; the most interesting parts delve into our own need for quick fix solutions and the marvels of the placebo effect. Excellent exploration of science coverage in the media and also remarkably entertaining. Epidemiology has never been so interesting!
