Bad Points

The annual fee and benefits which are so-so.


General Comments

The Gold Card has a certain prestige factor. Online management of your account is clear and easy to use plus you get reminder e-mails to pay off each month. Some of the insurance benefits can be re-assuring if you travel often. I do not use the card very often as it is not widely accepted. I will very likely change to another American Express credit card (not debit card) to avoid the annual fee. The Platinum Credit Card or the Product Red Credit Card look better bets to me - it just depends whether you want to keep the pay back for yourself or give it to others!
