Bad Points

Not happy with the service. Slow to repair critical problems (only happens during office opening hours.)


General Comments

Day 1, Friday: Ordered Virtual Dedicated Server. Server was setup a number of hours later. Latency to virtual server was 5000ms - 6000ms and packet loss was high with intermittent complete loss of connection. Traceroute showed problem was clearly on their network. Needing to get something up and running by the following Monday, I contacted them and they said they would look into it. Hours later with no improvement, I opened a virtual server account with 1&1 (which was available in minutes and has worked beautifully, by the way.)

I promptly contacted easyspace for a refund and, although they agreed their services were down, they refused my request because I didn't wait several days to give them a chance to repair it. For any product or service sold online, per the EU Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations of 2000, I am entitled to a seven day 'cooling off' period regardless of the merchantability of the service (although we are in agreement that it was defective at the time of sale) during which the service can be cancelled and refunded no questions asked. I've contacted my credit card provider which has agreed to refund the payment regardless of easyspace's cooperation.

I would strongly advise against doing business with this company as one, their products were unreliable in my experience.
