Bear.'s review of Nokia 9210

★★★☆☆
Nokia 9210

“The symbian alliance was created...”

Written on: 19/12/2001 by Bear. (1 review written)

Good Points
First epoc/symbian pda to have colour screen
User interface is far more attractive than the square looking Eikon (Psion 5).

Bad Points
Keyboard:We've gone back to the psion 3 era again.
No Touchscreen !!!!!!!!!!!!! ???????????????????
Screen should be the same size as the 5mx.
Reminds me of holding a brick.

General Comments
The symbian alliance was created (Psion,motorola,Nokia...) to bring phone & PDA technology into one Operating system. This they've organised well with quartz, crystal & Pearl.

If the idea is to allow the pda to browse the net and receive email then a touchscreen is vital. The screen is to small and screen space is wasted by titles at the top of the screen and the 4 function buttons on the right. Touchscreen would have been far better. Todays computers are about being enjoyable and interactive. I'd rather use a psion 5mx than this.

For some reason I also don't like the mono screen. The primary one should be used.
