Good Points

Looks good. Solid feel to construction. Nice THUNK when you close the doors. You can use the ice hopper as an excellent instant wine chiller!


Bad Points

Bit noisy. Ours froze the fridge section, but they came out and fitted heater modification (was in warranty). Said it was a known issue.
Freezer not very big in reality. Spec must include space taken up by ice making/dispensing gubbins.


General Comments

I think the Maytag GC2225PEKB American Style Fridge Freezer is OK as long as you get a deal. We paid £1500. Remember this fridge sells for $1500 in the States, so I guess you should expect the same as an £800 fridge/freezer in UK (eg Samsung). Looks and feels a lot better, though.
