Good Points

The Fuji Finepix S5700 is great value for money and packed with features.

It is available in Black and Silver and looks good in both.

The zoom is to a high level of quality. Another great feature of the zoom is that it doesn't extend out of the camera, it is contained within the camera so it doesn't pop the lens cap off when you turn it on.

It has a good hand grip which provides perfect grip to the skin and also has a nice shape to fit. It is also surprisingly light weight, even with 4 batteries in it.

Bad Points

The most annoying thing with the camera is the SD Card slot. The sliding door that encloses the SD card is very too lose and opens way to easily. It is where you grip and sometimes you can slide it open with your palm, this turns off the camera, and when you have it opened it doesn't feel very strong. AF illumiator lamp needs re-locating as your fingers can block it when you hold it properly.

General Comments

Overall, the Fuji Finepix S5700 is a great camera for those wanting to get into photography but without the cash to.

The poor quality SD flap really is a downfall with this camera. It very easily becomes irritating. But the rest of the package easily makes the minor fault not worth considering.
