Good Points

Not too noisy. Friendly reception staff.

Bad Points

Zillions of slot machines enticing kids the minute you walk through the door (cleverly placed so you can't avoid them).

Food nasty fast food stuff with no healthy options that we could find. (oh yeah - the Burger King offered 'Low Salt' ha ha). Promotional info offered a spa and gym - cost you a fiver each time you use it....all the other activities apart from pool cost you.....

'Entertainment for kids'outside of the mornings began at 6.30pm...very appropriate - not! Hillarious how the kids 'characters' based their act on being eco-friendly yet Haven actively encourage dreadful fast food outlets.

No sessions in the swimming pool for aduts only.
No wireless/ internet connection, charges for anything and everything (linen, towels, hairdryer). If you have a kiddy in a cot, they tell you you can only put the cot in the lounge area (much fun in the evenings eh parents?!) oh - and of course they want you to hire one from them. Ignore this - just pull the beds up in the bedroom and you can fit a travel cot in there perfectly. Its just seems like a ploy to get parents out of the caravan in the evening and down to the Big Spend Centre. Another wonderful way to get you out of the caravan and worshipping at the shrine of Bourne Leisure was to offer you only 3 TV channels...

Apart from the nice ladies in the reception area, the rest of the staff looked like you were only getting in their way of carrying it out...

General Comments

If you have kids and you want a cheap holiday either do not go - or - go with the understanding that you will have to be tough and say 'no' to your kids about 100 times a day! (though of course - if you just use it as a 'cheap base' and plan ahead - not to be in the 'lose all of your dosh centre' and to really explore Devon - it could work out as a good holiday)

If you can't be bothered to exlpore beautiful Devon and really unique little villages and shops, then go to Haven as bourne leisure will certainly not encourage you to spend your money elsewhere! The only info they gave on 'places to visit' were listed as 30 minutes plus drive away. So a lot of people wouldnt be bothered to leave the site.
