Good Points

Have a Gamo hunter 177....great if your going to kill paper rats and pigeons.....Tried the RWS 460 .22....took a crap after 30 pellets from metal fatigue at the cocking and piston.....Have an RWS 48 .22..... quality and accurate but deal with the scope well to prevent loosening....But as far as I am concerned, the 54 is the springer to own if you can understand what a great tool this really is and you're ready to pay for quality.

Bad Points

I've read more about perceived bad points than there really is....more like whining. Technically, the trigger is a polycarbonate ....OK plastic ,but the same kind of plastic that the whiners would brag about being used in a Glock if they owned one.....the type used in orthotics, helmets and developing forms of ballistic armor. Quit pissin' and moanin and give German engineering some credit.....How many broken trigger reviews have you read ? Same goes for the iron sights and the weight whinning. I wish I could take all the whiners and make them fire an M-16, M-14 or Barrett 50 and complain about the sights, which are close in configuration and then make the weenies hump an M-60 through a stinkin' Vietnamese swamp.

General Comments

This 54 in .22 is a great pellet rifle! Accurate, plenty of thump, but not cheap but you get what you pay for, but then you don't want the low bid for brain surgery either.....Feed it RWS pellets and treat it right and it may outlive you Yes it weighs around 10 lbs ...only 10 ....if its too freakin' heavy for you, use it to do some curls and situps and get in shape enough to put a sling on it so you can hump it a 1/4 mile to your chipmunk killing field or stay home and get your self a Red Ryder
