General Comments

On my second year of driving I switched from Churchill to Kwik fit due to being offered a great price. I went from 3rd party to fully comp. In December 2007 I bumped into a car in terrible weather. I stopped and gave my details, accepting the blame. I tried to call my insurers, then was given another number then was told to call back in the morning (Monday) to finish it. I called back, was given another number to ring and then when I finally got through they had no record of my claim so I had to make it again. I told them my car was not able to be driven. And took a day off work to wait for them to pick my car up. They didn ' t show for days and when they did, they didn ' t tow it, they drove it to the garage, which was extremely dangerous and would have contributed to the damage on the cars ruined suspension. Months went by numerous phone calls (sometimes being told to call back when they weren ' t so busy...!) to numerous telephone numbers, never getting an update. Finally months after the accident, I was given a letter saying it had been settled. 9 months after the accident I got my quote through, my claim came to £2300, and my new insurance policy for my next year had risen to.... £2300. For a 25 year old driving a 1litre yaris. I switched to another company and I will never go back to Kwik fit. I didn ' t even use their free MOT because I know Kwik fit are very dodgy. I have friends who worked for them. I hope to finish out my next years driving accident free and move to Churchill or Direct Line.

I agree with this review because I too have had a bad experience claiming through Kwik Fit. I know first hand how bad they are at communicating and seem to only be interested in selling you some other product. They are relentless. Even when you phone to change a minor detail on your insurance they try to sell you something else.
