Good Points

The ride is reasonably good and the boot space very able (estate). The 1.8TDCi is very powerful and delivers excellent torque throughout the range.

Bad Points

The seat comfort is average at best.

General Comments

The steering wheel is too far away from the driver if you have long legs. With only 43,000 miles on the clock (04 reg) I require a new flywheel (common fault with the diesel according to some forums I have read), possibly clutch, slave cylinder and starter motor. Approx cost £700 to £1200! Last time I buy a Ford.
With diesel so costly, it is not worth getting another so any petrol car is now better.
I had a Vauxhall Astra 1700TD for 12 years with no problems. Seats were comfortable too.
