Good Points

Competitive rates and ease of process.


Bad Points

Mortgage rules do not allow letting of property.


General Comments

As a member of the RAF I was posted overseas and was not allowed to let my property under Nationwide mortgage terms and conditions. I appealed to Nationwide Head Office and was allowed special dispensation to let the property for one year. I was to be away for over 3 years and therefore swapped mortgages to HSBC, who had no problem allowing letting for as long as required.
