General Comments
I have owned my 2000 non ABS pan ST1100 for about a month now having moved up from a Deauville. I only passed my bike test in May so I am still a relatively inexperienced rider. I am still intimidated by the pan's huge weight but only when getting it in and out of the garage. Once out on the road it totally transforms into a different bike. It can be trickled around bends and mini roundabouts at rediculously slow speeds in 1st or second gears. My confidence is building day by day. Honda has built a fantastic machine that you can put your trust in be it commuting to work or crossing continents. Solid reliability,turbine smooth performance (and lots of it) and the nimble handling is a surprise for such a big motorbike.The first time I rode it I wasn't so sure we would be together for very long. By the end of the ride I didn't want to get off. Sports bikes? Forget it I love my Pan!
