Good Points

Good mix of cheesy sing-a-long pop and new sounds!

Some songs are just plain weird!

General Comments

It was with some trepidation that I purchased the Alphabeat album. I liked both single releases but would I feel the same about a whole album? I was right to be suspicious. The three single releases have all been very catchy and they sound like an updated Ace of Base. However, on the album there are some disturbing leanings towards Kraftwerk (dodgy German band in the 80's!!) and some songs that can only be described as dreary.
Tracks 2 to 5 are good sing-a-long tunes but, even after a month of listening everyday in the car, I still can't find it in myself to like the rest of the album.
