Good Points

Excellent mpg.
good low running costs for the first few years.
low emissions.


Bad Points

New steering rack, steering pump.


General Comments

I have had my Ford Fiesta 1.4 tdci zetec from new (sept 03) and to be honest on the whole it was okay up and till the last two years.
The steering pump went at 60.000 miles and then the steering rack went at 65.000 miles on the whole it cost me £1200.
I had been telling the Ford Garage (where it had been regularily serviced every 8 months) that it had a vibration above 65 mph and it seemed to loose its steering at times for the last 18months of the three year warranty (which to be honest was not worth the paper it was written on) but they insisted there was nothing wrong, then low and behold it went fro its second mot and was not deemed safe enough to drive away from the garage (another FORD dealer) on contacting my garage they just told me it was out of warranty.
