Bad Points

I find the new ones disappointing and they smell like grapefruits to me. I noticed that they have done away with the yellow. The texture that you are left with in your mouth are somewhat crystallised which I find unpleasant and difficult to adapt to bring back the smooth original soft powder chalky texture.

General Comments

Hi everyone sorry to correct some of you but you may be delighted to be reminded that they are actually called barratt and not bassetts. The originals are excellent I have stocked up just in case I do not see them again. I just cannot get enough I prefer them over choccies any day of the week especially the yellow and green as they are soft and then the pink for subtle contrast in flavour. The smell as you open the packet is devine and they pastel colours melt your heart and bring you back to your childhood. mmmm! yummy.

I really hope that the new version of refreshers are not here to stay maybe if we speak up enough barratt's may reconsider. If this change is due to an improvement to health I'm sure that my addictive listeners and me will compromise by eating refreshers in moderation (not) just to see them back on the shelf. by the way i am well into my 30's and still love them. barratt refreshers are normally found in martins news agents - the blue and white chain stores often called something different in some parts of the uk like mcolls, you will not find them in shops where you would expect to see them such as in spars or co-op's trust me i have done my homework but be quick otherwise you will get the new version. alternatively by online at barratts.

I utterly agree that the new refreshers are a pale imitation of the sweet I have eaten far too many of in my life. Bring back the old refreshers!!
