Good Points

Plates were solid ceramic and heated up quickly


Bad Points

The plates didn't sit together properly therefore catching hair in the ends where it meets but didn't touch the plate further up


General Comments

I bought these after my Ghd's packed up and as funds are low i needed a cheaper option. I'd read good reviews about this product so went out and bought it, it was a bargain at boots as it had £20 off so total price £39.99. I was disappointed however when i tried them out. The plates didn't seem to touch so it kept painfully catching my hair in the tip of the plates but would touch the hair further up the plates. I went back to boots and they gave me a refund, the lady also said that they'd had a few back, it appears to be a design fault. I also find it hard to believe that the material used is 'cool touch'. I have since bought Nicky Clarkes worldwide straightener for £37 and wow i was so surprised how good they are, i have been spoilt by having Ghd's but these are every bit as good. so if your looking for a good value straightener i would highly recommend the Nicky Clarke Worldwide one.

    You have just had bad luck and I have had GHDs & Nicky Clarke and none are as good as these so I think that you just had unlucky ones :)
