Bad Points
Can be slow to find a signal, you can only adjust the routing for fastest or shortest, an option to use the easiest would be handy or to avoid B roads (very handy in Wales as it keeps on sending me down obscure single track lanes that are never used), screen can mark up easily.
General Comments
The Navman N40 has a clear screen even in bright light, maps for the whole of Europe included in the box, easily updated, easy to use without looking at the instructions all the time.
Looks a bit chunky compared to other models but is built properly inside. Have used it throughout Europe without any problems, except for the occasional new road not being on it, but that applies to other satnavs too!
