General Comments

I was booked to go to America last July, unfortunatly the day before my flight, my mother sadly passed away. After the inital shock my husband tried to claim from Tesco Travel Insurance on my behalf the flight, which was I though covered by my policy. I was told to forward a copy of the death certificate, which I did, and was then informed that they needed permission to access my mothers doctors records! They said that if she was ill prior to me booking a flight then the policy was null and void. My mother had been ill on and off for the past 15 years. Does this mean that anybody who has a relitive who is ill cannot go on holiday? I am disgusted with Tesco, they took my money and conned me. SHAME ON YOU TESCO!

I need to ad that I have not received a penny from Tesco and in my mind the whole thing was just a con. I believe they thrive on peoples distress and know that people like me who lose close family members will not pursue any claims as the distress is too much to cope with. I wonder if Paul Daniels is aware of their policies when he agreed to advertise thier "Wonderful" insurance in his TV ads!
