General Comments

Airparks Gold 'Meet and Greet' at Manchester Airport.
In my opinion this is Not a Meet and greet service.
We booked online for the 'Meet and Greet' service for our flight from Manchester in August. Having used many a meet and greet provider before at various UK airports I have always loved the convenience of just pulling up to departures and unloading the Kids and the bags whilst the car is being checked over by the Driver handing over the keys and being able to walk straight into departures. Similarly on the return the car is waiting just outside of arrivals for us to load up and drive off.
'Airparks Gold - Meet and Greet' does not provide this service.
On arrival (very early morning) at departures I unloaded the luggage whilst my wife unloaded our three young children (aged 5, 3 & 1). After 10 minutes of waiting no driver appeared. It was only when looking at the smallprint on the 'Meet and Greet' contract did we notice that we had to unload the car at departures and then proceed with the car to the top floor of the multistorey car park where we would be met! This meant that having waited around for ten minutes we had security on our backs telling us we had to move the vehicle immediately or it would be impounded. So I had to leave my wife to push the fully loaded trolley whilst our four year old had to push the babies buggy across four lanes of traffic! All the time people around me were being met by other 'Meet and Greet' firms who drove their car off for them whilst I had to leave my family behind and was heading for the thirteenth floor of the car park.
This is not 'Meet and Greet' by any means!!!!
Similarly on our return we had to take all the luggage, children, buggies et al up to the very top of the car park where we were told our car would be waiting. After 20 minutes in the cold and rain and after a further three calls to 'Airparks Gold Meet and Greet' our car finally turned up. Before I even got the chance to greet the driver he handed me their complaints form, it was as if he was almost expecting a tirade of abuse. To finish the whole debacle off we had to wait at the exit barrier of the car park for the driver to make it down from the top of the multistorey car park to validate our ticket so that we could leave.
I ordered and was sold a 'Meet and greet' service. What I actually got was the equivalent of Long stay parking.
I have sent strongly worded letters to Airparks Gold 'Meet and Greet' along with another letter to 'BCP Parking' whose website I booked through. In the three weeks since my letters of complaint I have only received an automated response from 'Holiday Extras'
So please do not fall into the trap that we did. 'Holiday Extras' 'BCP Parking' and especially 'Airparks Gold - Meet and Greet' did not provide us with a true and honest 'Meet and Greet' service. They do not even respond to letters of complaint.

    I found this review very helpful because...I was just comparing "meet and greet" services having used them previously, and was seriously considering using Airparks Gold by booking through the AA. I've now changed my mind and will be using another company. Thanks for warning us in advance!
