Good Points

Price, longevity of consumables, price of consumables, quality of image on plain laser paper, time to print medium sized documents. Software gives good clear information, such as print preview and sizing and amount of remaining toner.


Bad Points

Time to first print after switch-on can be two to four minutes as it goes through its calibration run.


General Comments

We have been lumped with an HP 1600 printer at work which came with starter toner. I have never used it as there has been no toner in it since coming back off holiday. The toner costs are 30% more than the Canon and the Canon comes with full cartridges when purchased. Compared with other printers I have used in a work enbvironment, the LPB5000 is the best quality I have seen outside of a reprograhics studio. I have it at home but it would serve a small office. However at £135 all workers could have one each. I thoroughly reccomend this printer to anyone, it doesn't even need special paper.
