Bad Points

Customer service. 5 days late in replying to my email despite site saying a reply will be received in 48 hours.


General Comments

When I took out the deal with Dial-A-Phone in December 07 it was explained that any cashback offers would be automatically sent to me by cheque. Sometime after I did not receive this amount I checked the website and it stated that I had to claim the amount by sending in my O2 bills to them. When I checked my paperwork there was only a window of a few weeks to claim this amount. When I contacted them via email explaining what had happened and requesting if they would honour the amount as a gesture of goodwill. I got an email back several days late saying Unfortunately we will not be able to reinstate this claim as the claim period has passed. We do recommend that customers read the paperwork that comes with the phone package and as it was an independent choice not to we will be unable to reinstate the claim.
I wonder how many other people have lost money this way? I feel the company should refund any money due. When I contacted them I was frustratingly on the phone for ages.
Ironically I keep on getting emails and letters asking me to recommend them to other people. I might recommend them, but only to people I don't like.
