General Comments

Just returned from Nairobi and had wonderful stay at the Kikuyu Lodge Hotel. all of us including two young children were most welcomed and enjoyed our days relaxing and visiting the city.
We used the hotel airport transfer both ways, and everthing went well. the hotel also provides taxi service. Guests frequently arriving and departing to safaris so met british tourists which made it even more interesting for us. there are also buses and matatus running nearby if you wish to hop to the city or other intersting places.
Comfy satellite tv lounge and internet available in the office room. the food was excellent and many thanks to the staff for keeping us healthy with their wonderful breakfasts and dinners.
Rooms are spacious, en-suite, hot shower, double, triple rooms available, very reasonable compared to city. Very peaceful indeed during day and night, and away from city noises. protected by 911 security company. The hotel is very clean indeed has a nice garden with lots of trees and parking space.
Located on Nairobi road and about 20 minutes from town. From town follow waiyaki way then nairobi road, carry on until you reach magana flowers sign on the road, turn left before the sign and then right and you are there.
Would recommend kenya visa in advance, the queues at nairobi airport takes over 2 hours in August. Requested visitors pass stamp at airport, but was told visa stamp is adequate for that purpose, in case you cross border and re-enter kenya.
August is really cool in nairobi and even more wondefully breezy in Mombasa.
