Skipton Building Society is the ideal bank, it offers mutual benefits of other building societies - yet its rates are consistantly higher than their peer group and aso their product range/availability is far greater than some leadning institutions - such as the Coventry building society for example. However, their slight downfall is their limited number of branches currently in operation - which may deter some from seeking an acount with them.

I agree totally with the comments - my experience dealing with Skipton is very good too. If only other Banks and Building Societies would take note.
