Accommodation needs updating and the speaker levels in the Skyline need to be lowered as far too loud
General Comments
My family have been coming to Butlins Minehead since 1997. I have been sitting here reading some good and bad reviews and can agree with most points. Yes you do have to pay for some extra attractions but you do still have the funfair and Bob the Builder land which are all free. Where else can you get this? There are plenty of free shows throughout the day and evening. As for the accommodation I must admit it is in need of some serious updating and there have been occasions where I have had to ask for the cleaners to redo the chalet but this happened fairly quickly. I cannot comment on the food as we always go self catering. I have a 17yr old son with special needs who love Butlins and as we go several times a year have got to know some of the Redcoats and other staff members who always acknowledge my son and will talk to him. For me this is extremely important as I am sorry to say there are people out there who can be very rude to or about my son. My advice to anyone considering trying Butlins is GIVE IT A GO. Its only a few days and if you don't like you don't have to go back
