I bought my Peugeot 106 GTi just under a year ago. At the time I thought I had a pretty good deal on it. Its 2002, had 63000 miles, reasonably good service history and was completely standard except for being lowered 60 all round for £2500. Since then I have had to replace the coil pack, get cam belt changed, and replace the whole rear axel and quite a few smaller problems. But I honestly believe it is worth every penny I have spent on it. My boyfriend has had a lot of small fast cars (Clio 172, starlet gt turbo etc) and my GTi never fails to put a smile on his face and it surprises many people with how fast it is and the way it handles. The GTi will beat most cars on the handling front as it sticks to the road amazingly. The car never fails to excite me when I get in it and I often take the long ways home. For such a small car it feels quite sturdy unlike the quicksilver I had before. I would recommend a GTi to anyway if you ' re looking for a very fun small car which won ' t break the bank. I recently took mine to Santa pod and managed to beat a 2.5 v6 Calibra on the 1/4 mile which surprised a lot of people. Nothing can beat the fast French cars!
