Easy to use.
Bad Points
The mandatory "free" canister vacuum is now looking very dated. Ours didn't get much use because it was so noisy. Recently neighbours commented when I used it to do the car interior. Deciding to buy another I visited the Oreck site and found that they hadn't moved on. I've bought a Miele cylinder which is light years ahead of Oreck.
General Comments
With regards to the Oreck XL, it's the only upright that the wife has found easy to use. For anyone with a bad back or weak wrists it will be a good choice. It does a thorough job and can even be used on stairs. Oreck uprights are impressive but they have to be bought in an expensive bundle with an awful cylinder model included. At least that's the situation in the UK.
