General Comments

I have just bought my Jinlun 125. It has only done 600 miles but as I had to ride it back from Inverness to Dundee it has done a bit more. First impressions were "wow".
I had just sold my scooter on EBay and saw the Jinny there to. it is a 55 plate in red and only cost £650.
The first ride was bit awkward as having a scooter you only used your hands, using gears again, the first time in about a year was weird. The gear selector on the 11's is a rocking one. Toe down for first, heel down for the rest. Big feet meant it was a big fiddly trying to get comfy on the journey. The seating was great and comfy but on my long trip I had a numb bum for a while. The ride is smooth thanks to great suspension and it handles brilliantly even is the wake of lorries. I was disappointed with the speed as it would only reach an indicated 50mph. I did manage to get 60 on a downhill stretch and it did seem to free up a bit as time went on. I read that these bikes become faster after time and miles as long as it ' s maintained well. It can be tricky selecting 2nd gear due to the heel change but if you are firm enough you won ' t embarrass your self. Brakes are great and lighting is excellent. I found that after a while at full pelt, going up the gears after a junction let's say, it seemed to scream and not go anywhere fast which makes you feel weedy against the traffic but I suppose it is a "cruiser" and there to be looked at. You should work with it rather than against it when it comes to performance. I have only had my bike a matter of hours at writing this and hope I can get to bed tonight with this smile on my face.
