Quality of pictures is great.
Great preset options give you plenty of choice and they work well.
Manual controls and 'raw' shooting for the creative shots is great
Flash options allow you to freeze indoor action
Bad Points
Not a really light camera but worth the weight for quality it gives.
Must watch where you put your hands so you don't cover flash or bend the lens cover.
General Comments
The Canon G9 Powershot is the best point and shot camera i've owned that is not a full blown dslr. You can put it on auto and it takes great shots or you have enough options to keep you occupied for hours.
