Good Points

Food was excellent, ambience was thoroughly welcoming, felt at ease from entering restaurant right through to leaving. Huge credit for the outside seating and garden area which made pre-dinner drinks so much more enjoyable.

General Comments

I visited as part of a party of two couples one Saturday night. Perfect environment for gossiping and relaxing, the service was not intrusive and our waitress was responsive to our needs all evening, having to revisit our table for the food order twice, as the vast choice made it difficult to decide. The starters were sumptuous and plentiful and the waitress gave us a few minutes grace in between courses at our request. All of us chose steak as a main course and all of us were extremely happy, the meat was cooked perfectly and the steaks were each a decent size. It was one of the best steaks I've ever had and along with the chips which were delicious and home made, one of the nicest local meals I've had in a very long time. I will certainly be re-visiting this restaurant and would have no hesitation in recommending it.
