LIght Recoil, eject downward.
Bad Points
Constant Jamming, function issues, design issue and flaws way beyond resonable.
General Comments
I bought this gun last year and have had nothing but problems with it. This gun is very picky with what loads you use(found out after I bought it). I have also had nothing but problems with it overall. One out of every 5 shots jamms! After a while of this I noticed that The shells I was prying out of the chamber were set off when they were only 3/4 of the way in. They were ballooning becasue they were ghoing off wihtout being fully chambered! After the last shot the action was not staying open which is a elementry issue Remington should have addressed.
In order to close the action, you have to press a small lever by the trigger guard. Unfortunately, it is not physically possible to do this. The lever is so hard to press that I can't push it hard enough and the blade digs into your finger (try that on a cold duck day).
So here I am, next to Opening Dove day Sept 1st, 2008 without my $1500 gun. Remington has had it for three weeks now and has no answers for me. They haven't shipped it back so now I am without my 105cti for opening dove!!
Listen, the carbon fiber doesn't look that good and the titanium receiver is ok. I would defintely take a 870 over this gun now that I know. It is not worth the money and I am very surprised that the Corporate Executives pushed this one out to boost their quarterly reports at our expense. Shame on you Remington
