General Comments

I'm currently experiencing the misfortune of having a bank debit card 'delivered' by SMS Couriers.

On 27th August, I received a letter dated 26th August saying they had tried to deliver an item. Went on to their website on 28th to re-arrange delivery for 29th August. Received a telephone message saying this was not possible and I will have to wait until Monday 1st September whilst it is transferred to an alternative depot.

When I rang to protest this delay - why can't it be transfered to arrive at the depot for morning of 29th August - they told me they tried to deliver the card on 19th August. I didn't find a card to say the had been, Because I live in a flat and apparently it is not secure. I'd like to think my front door with letterbox, behind a video controlled entry system is pretty secure - it seems to do a pretty good jop of stopping nasty criminals getting in.

From 19th August it took SMS a week to generate an automatic letter saying I needed to contact them to re-arrange delivery. Their excuse for this was the volume of deliveries they handle.

To add insult to injury, a credit card ordered at the same time and NOT delivered by SMS arrived within 72 hours of the request, safely through my letter box.

I've complained to my bank and will be pointing them towards the volume of complaints on this site alone.

For the record I'm still awaiting the card...
