We were booked into the Woodpark Hotel, Shimla, India by Asia Rooms. The booking was done efficiently.
Asia Rooms charged us double what we would have paid if we had booked directly with the hotel it seems. We used Asia Rooms because we believed they could get us a better rate and we paid twice as much as we should have in my opinion.
The hotel was extremely disappointing but would not have been so depressing if we had paid what we should have, that is half the price charged by Asia Rooms. We wrote to Asia Rooms a number of times on our return asking if there had been some mistake. They said they would reply but at least three months have passed and they have given us no explanation as far as I am aware for the escessive charge for a hotel that only supplied little for me. Our advice is to book your hotel by email yourself and save money.
