Kids enjoyed the entertainment.
Toilet & shower block filthy, warden didn't seem interested, noise late at night, poor security, tent pitches muddy and flooded.
We have just returned from a 5 day stay in a tent at Lakeland and would never go back. There were only 3 working showers for women which were either freezing or boiling and totally unsuitable for kids. The toilets were filthy and no toilet roll and were hardly ever cleaned. There were rats running around the camping fields and the warden was either not on site or didn't want to know. There is no drainage on the touring area and the smallest amount of rain causes puddles which soon turn to mud. The electric hook up points are dangerous and exposed to the rain and children. The stench of stale mud is unbearable, as is the smell coming from the toilet block. We had to leave early as we were all ill. Don't consider this site if you're in a tent - it is the worst we have ever stayed at.
