What a find for anybody who likes good food will love this place. The platters were exceptional, even the vegetarian platter was enjoyed by confirmed carnivores. I had the river fish platter, (the last one I might add as they had sold out) and was really impressed by the way the chef had created 8 exceptional dishes on one plate. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and really helpful. I had read some of the bad reviews and TOTALLY do not agree with any of them.
The Anchor Inn is in a wonderful setting, with their own kitchen garden, where most of the Veggie Platter came from, their own animals running around the fields next to the pub and they are really into conservation. YOU HAVE TO VISIT THIS IS A MUST!!!!
