Great to drive, very comfortable, good looks, and very reliable on or off road
Bad Points
None, usually the 2.4 ltr engines are more prone to radiator leaks, as my father had a 91 ssr-x 2,4 ltr and engine seised due to a radiator leak.
General Comments
I bought my 95 Toyota Hilux ssr-x Ltd 3.0ltr hilux surf in march, 2008, and it has been a great car already and I've hardly driven it! It is very comfortable and looks great, it has a garret turbo fitted instead of the original turbo, a water a intercooler, and power chip, these give it so much more power that it has the same pickup and power as the new hilux 3.0 TD. It is not bad on fuel, 400-500 kms a tank, and 350-450 kms when power chip is turned on. The power chip is hardly used as it is mainly used for continous driving up a hill, or towing heavy weight, it is one of the best first cars I could ask for!
