Dependable, light weight, good power.
The chains and bars Husqvarna sells for it are a bit on the inferior side, they wear out quickly.
I also am a home owner. I, however do heat predominantly with wood. Live one 10 acres and cut 5 to 10 cords per year. I put 200 to 300 hours on the saw each year.
I am surprised by the engine failure concerns expressed on in some of these reviews. I have owned the saw for 7 years. As stated above put at least 200 hours on it each year. All I have done so far is replace the spark plug, clean the air filter, blow it out with a compressor, etc. Either the folks who've had problems got a lemon or they are not doing something right. Perhaps not running the fuel out each season.
This saw is a great all around saw. A bit big for limbing and a bit small for falling; so just about the right size if you're going to own just one saw.
