Bad Points

Travelled from London for this experience, and obviously not being a local I seemed to be stared at the entire duration by the young chap nursing a beer at the bar. Another couple started snogging during the sharing of their summer pudding - perhaps I'm not used to behaviour like this while dining in London.

General Comments

I was very disappointed with the food at Anchor Inn, and the strange way it was displayed on the plate. I ordered rib eye steak, and chunky chips with local veg. Was presented with what looked like a fatty steak (am aware of what rib eye is so not surprised), surrounded by giant carrots, potatoes and green beans served in sloppy salty gravy. The chunky chips were the size of roast potatoes (i.e. not chips) and the steak was unchewable to the point of making me gag. For £50 for two never again.
