straightens hair alright...but......
the handle gets so hot that after sometime, its impossible for me to hold!
Looking at all the wonderful reviews of Babyliss Pro 230 Elegance, I decided to buy this straightener and was very happy to get it at half price from argos. its transparent box revealed a gleaming bronzy straightener and looked amazing from outside. but my happiness was short lived when i actually opened the box and started to use it. first of all, being a such an expensive one (original cost 74 pounds) it doesn't have a digital display and the plastic used seems substandard to me (buttons are very rickety). secondly the handles heats up so much that after a min or so, i find it impossible to hold them properly. i don't know if it is a problem with my pair only since not a single person has mentioned anything about this. The only good thing about this product in my opinion is that it straightens the hair well (with great difficulty i did manage to straighten a section of my hair) but, what is the use if I can't even hold them?! maybe along with the heatproof mat they should also have provided heat proof gloves! i tried my friend's braun satinliner and thought they were really great, cannot compare it with babyliss!
