Good Points

Very lovable and friendly with both people and dogs alike. No aggression whatsoever.


Bad Points

Will not come when she is called especially if she is playing with another dog.
She is very boisterous.
She will not come when she is called, especially when playing with other dogs, even when we use titbits and a whistle. She doesn't run away but she will come back when she thinks fit.


General Comments

Molly is a 13month old chocolate labrador. We acquired her through labrador rescue when she was six months old. She was very submissive when we first got her, but since she started to feel confident with us, she has become very unruly. We have taken her to classes and was advised to do several things, but we can't seem to knock this stubbornness out of her. We hope she will outgrow this naughty trait. She was spayed a month ago, but no sign of her calming down yet. She is the 6th labrador bitch that we have owned. All the others were yellow and were far better behaved even as puppies.
After acquiring her I was told by several people that the chocolate ones are more unruly than the yellows or blacks. Has anyone else found this?
