Fabulous Picture, great value, good looking TV, easy to set up and use.

Poor EPG on the Freeview.


General Comments

The Philips 50PFP5532 is an absolutely first class piece of kit. Prior to purchasing our set we looked around at many models in the 42" to 50" size range, including Samsungs, LG's, Pioneers and looked at LCD vs Plasma. Some of the models were not very impressive an some were very impressive, making the choice fairly difficult, until we saw this Philips Plasma TV. The picture was perfect in the shop and is perfect on our set at home. Once we saw this set, our minds were made up instantly...we had to have it!
The inbuilt Freeview is crystal clear and reception is good, though the EPG is not particularly good. Playing other kit such as DVD, Satellite etc is amazing especially the Hi Def Satellite Equipment. Stick the sound through surround sound cinema kit to obtain some of the best home entertainment I have seen....
Recommended? Absolutely!!
