Simple to use. Widescreen and graphics are excellent. Garmin web support is also excellent. POI support is easy to install thanks to the software Garmin supply via their website. I found product registration, latest software upgrade and POI links easy to follow and all work flawlessly. The unit is solid and well built. All in all excellent value for money.
Bad Points
The unit can be a bit slow to update position and advice. Warnings for roundabout exits come a little to early and a bit late (ie. you will get advice to take 2nd exit from a mile away but the next advice may not come until your on top of the roundabout... not great if you have to filter across three lanes of traffic! Its fine as long as you keep an eye on the graphics (which are excellent on the widescreen) as this will almost always give you a clear indication which exit you need well in advance. Just don't wait for the voice instruction alone!
General Comments
Hard to fault the Garmin Nuvi 200W. Operation is intuitive. Maps excellent. Build quality superb.
May be light on fancy features of other units but most of those are quickly forgotten gimmicks anyway. Garmin have been the catch up kids to Tom Tom on terrestial GPS devices but that was because all their experience was spent on Marine and Aviation devices before Tom Tom was out of nappies. Now they are true rivals and I think winning the value for money stakes. Check it out.
