Caused neurological damage and fatalities in cats and kittens.
Took kitten to PDSA after kitten became unwell after treating with Bob Martins flea spray. Vet said she may have long term neurological damage as at the moment her walking is affected and she keeps shaking her head. She said cats can die from this and advised only using prescription flea treatments that they can supply. Can I also say she said DO NOT EVER give people meds such as piriton to pets. They are not having an allergic reaction. It seems to calm them because it is sedating them but it is NOT addressing the problem. Fingers crossed for pricess as she is not out of the woods yet.
