Will carry on working as a scanner, even after the printer has packed in.
Doesn't last very long

I have had 2 of these Epson Stylus RX560 printers, and both of them have broken, one inside its 12 month warranty, which was replaced by epson, and the second one just outside of its 12 month warranty.
the problem is that the rollers stop working, and instead of feeding paper through, it just makes a horrible grinding noise.
other bad points are the ink: if you buy compatible cartridges you get errors saying "replace cartridges" meaning that you have to buy expensive epson cartridges. also, if you run out of color ink, it wont let you print a black and white document, even tho you have black ink.
