Not having it made clear enough on what I actually bought and with whom the rental agreement was with.


General Comments

I hired a car with Alamo through the BRITISH AIRWAYS web site. I thought I was hiring a car with Alamo at Joberg Airport South Africa. It was actually the Europcar & National Car hire depot/office NOT Alamo, they just had a sign outside saying also for Alamo. I found a £166 bill on my credit card for additional services that I thought were already included. When I hired it on BA website it was not the basic car hire it was their top notch all singing dancing rental including everything (inc upgraded CDW gold rating etc. But when I finished the booking & printed off my voucher I did not check it properly, it stated normal CDW cover. BA Customer services say tough luck you signed for it as an extra at the airport. I'm not sure who are worse, BA or the hire company. I hire cars every year and I can say that this is the only time I've used these companies.
